Synopsis
E-paper liquid crystal material is a special liquid crystal material used to manufacture electronic paper display technology. E-paper technology simulates the visual effects of traditional paper, has the advantages of low power consumption, high contrast and can be read outdoors, and consumes almost no power when displaying images. E-paper liquid crystal materials usually contain a microcapsule structure, with each microcapsule encapsulating charged white and black particles suspended in a transparent liquid. When a voltage is applied, these charged particles move toward opposite electrodes, changing the color of the surface and forming visible text and images. Once the electric field is removed, these particles will remain in their new positions, so the e-paper can maintain its display content even after power is turned off, achieving a "bistable" display effect, which means it can display static images without the need for continuous power supply. In addition to this kind of electronic ink based on microcapsule technology, there are other types of electronic paper liquid crystal materials, such as cholesteric liquid crystals, cholesteric-titanium dioxide hybrid systems, etc., which achieve similar effects through different optical principles and also have energy saving and With its wide viewing angle and other characteristics, it is often used in e-book readers, smart labels, public information display boards and other fields.
