High pressure polyethylene is a chemical substance, and low molecular weight is generally colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic liquid. The pure product of high molecular weight is a milky white waxy solid powder. High pressure polyethylene can be used to make agricultural, food and industrial packaging films, wire and cable covering and coating, synthetic paper, etc.
Global High Pressure Polyethylene market is projected to reach US$ 88620 million in 2029, increasing from US$ 46650 million in 2022, with the CAGR of 9.6% during the period of 2023 to 2029. Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) can be used as an alternative to Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) with higher tensile strength and a higher degree of resistance to UV rays and other environmental factors than LDPE Etc). According to an article by Plastivision, the demand for LDPE for kitchen appliances is expected to reach only 1.2 million tons by 2023, while the demand for LLDPE used to make industrial containers is expected to reach 3 million tons. Hence, the LDPE market has been negatively impacted owing to the high tensile strength and higher flexibility of LLDPE as compared to LDPE.
