Synopsis
A piezoresistive vacuum gauge is a vacuum gauge that uses a piezoelectric sensor to measure pressure. A piezoelectric sensor is a semiconductor material whose resistivity changes in response to pressure. Piezoresistive vacuum gauges can measure pressures ranging from 1 to 2200 hPa, independent of the gas type. The principle of the piezoresistive vacuum gauge is: when the energized sensor resistance wire heats up, the surrounding gas molecules will transfer and diffuse the heat. The efficiency of this heat transfer is related to the density of gas molecules (that is, pressure). By measuring the temperature change of the resistance wire, the pressure can be calculated. The advantages of piezoresistive vacuum gauges are that they are simple in structure, durable, accurate, and can be combined with a digital interface or analog output. It is suitable for vacuum drying, vacuum heat treatment, vacuum smelting and other fields.
